Having been born in 1720, this caffé is the oldest caffé still running in the whole world. The revolutionary caffé was the first coffee shop to allow women in the establishment and it was the place of choice for influential people such as Lord Byron, Marcel Proust and Charles Dickens. For years this has been the elected place for high society social gatherings and enchanted tourists that came to admire the hauntingly beautiful city.

The dazzling caffé has been, for 300 years, a landmark in classical architecture, with its golden interiors and beautiful paintings that populate its ancient walls. Every detail inside de caffè is delightfully carved, and its magnificent ornaments fill it with joyous life. Sophisticated and vibrant, this is the place that will truly make you feel like you have travelled through time.
The caffè boasts not only a plethora of classical art but also contemporary movements that fill it with gorgeous life. If you’re looking for inspiration for your own place or even your home décor, look no further than this incredible majestic and timeless establishment, as it should prove to be the best influence for you!

Beautiful armchairs, sofas and dining chairs in a more traditional style, not unlike the Bourbon armchair from BRABBU, populate the space and fill it with unbelievable sophistication and fierce beauty. All furniture, in fact, is dazzling and amazingly comfortable, providing a terrific experience.
Unfortunately, this magical and once thought as immortal space is in terrible danger of closing down, ending hundreds of years of business and tradition in the meantime. As reported by various sources such as Architectural Digest and DesignBoom, the 18th-century place has been heavily plagued by the ongoing virus, financial crisis, floods and the fact that Venice is, right now, a ghost town.
Even though the caffè is itself a luxury brand with other stores around the world, it is a pitty to understand that such a fantastic icon of architecture and history is in danger of disappearing forever and leaving Venice a little more empty. With a dark past year, one can only hope for a better 2021 and for places like this one to be able to sustain themselves.
